As you are preparing to come down here and going through you missions 101 training you are probably seeing a pattern of learning listening prayer. As I have been going through the summer talking about God has been really teaching me some new things and I wanted to pass them on to you.
The biggest thing is that when Jimmy gets out of the way and let God have control and let the Holy Spirit give me the words and obey those words how Awesome that can be. Below is a Blog I put on my Myspace but I thought I would share it with you also.
Look out Jimmy here comes the holy spirit
Today during worship and speaker challange I really learned what it means to get Jimmy out of the way and let the holy spirit run things. God has shown me this many times this summer but nothing as cool as this. On Tuesday morning I usually talk about some scripture out of John 13 and 15. I start of talking about when Jesus washed his disciples feet and I thought I new what to take out of that verse. Last week a pastor from Iowa washed my feet and I totally realized literally what Jesus meant. This week there is a young man named Hunter that I new I was suppose to wash he feet. I struggled with my own thoughts and flesh and almost did not do it. The holy spirit clearly told me I was to do it so I obey and oh man it was so cool. I washed the youngs mans feet and Goerge starting playing a song and I prayed for and with the young man expecting to go on talking about love and unity but I started to read the whole section of when Jesus washed the feet and at the end the holy spirit lead me to open the chair to anyone that needed to be cleaned and let Jesus have there burdens after about a minute or so a adult volunteer came up and then a tough young man and than it just started to pour out until almost every one in the room came up to get there feet washed. It was amazing as they came up the holy spirit guided me as to what to pray for them and they prayed with each other and lives were changed and focused and the real reason we are here to bring glory and honor and praise to our Lord and let him guide our lives and to just surrender all to him. I am so beyond even Jazzed right now.
