I speak for all of us when I say that this outreach has been an awesome jorney with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We watched God at work every hour of every day – in our mission assignments and in our worship! I stand in amazement at his goodness and faithfulness to us. There are many stories to tell. Yesterday (July 4) one of our teams worked to build a fence at the Wallins, Ky Community Center. There was a family reunion there and we were so blessed to be invited to share in their family pot luck! What an encouragement to go to serve and to be blessed ourselves. i have seen God do that over and over all week. The other CP team went to a local nursing home to minister to their residents. They did crafts and shard with the folks one on one. All of our kids were so blessed to see so many who knew the Lord. It has been good for us all to step out of our comfort zone and see the Lord meet us in our weakness to accomplish His work through us. Our bond with the team from Georgia is phenomenal. There are many friendships that will continue after today. The A.I.M. team has greatly enriched all of our lives. We have learned so much from them and thier passionate commitment for Christ. One of the many things we’ve gotten a glimpse of is what it means to be fully surrendered to Christ. We will never be the same. Your Sister In Christ, Shelly Benton |
